Safety of Journalists Platform - Council of Europe

The Platform to promote the Protection of Journalism and the Safety of Journalists facilitates the compilation, processing and dissemination of information (alerts) on serious concerns about media freedom and safety of journalists in Council of Europe member States.

Alerts are submitted by civil society media freedom organisations and associations of journalists which provide verified factual information.

The Platform aims at improving the protection of journalists and enables the Council of Europe to identify trends and propose adequate policy responses in the field of media freedom.
