How do you know what your purpose is?⬇️
Here’s how I’ve come to understand it—based on my own journey, growth, and relationship with Jesus✝️:

1️⃣ Don’t box yourself in. Your purpose doesn’t fit into one. What you do will change. How you do it will change. Your purpose is ongoing and ever-evolving as YOU evolve.
(ref. Matthew 4:19)
.
2️⃣Pay attention to your desires and interests—especially as they shift. What do you care about? What do you enjoy doing? How are you most effective? …in THIS season of your life.
(ref. Psalm 37:4)
.
3️⃣ Ask God what he wants you to do regarding your desires and talents.
(ref. Proverbs 16:9)
.
4️⃣ Continue to inquire with him about it. Does he still want you to do what you’ve been doing? Let him direct—and redirect—you as needed.
(ref. Proverbs 3:6)
.
✨In other words:
Don’t box God in.
He can use you however He sees fit… if you let him.
(ref. Ephesians 3:20)

🎉We coming up on FOUR years y’all… 🎉💃🏾

I thought my hair was long enough when it was loose.
.
And it was (for me at least).
.
But now, my locs are about to be the longest my hair has ever been—not that I asked for this or even aimed for length this time; but God is giving it anyways, in larger measure 🙌🏾.
.
The miracle is that He is still adding blessing to a prayer I prayed 14 yrs ago—a prayer for “longer, stronger, thicker hair”. He answered it 10 yrs ago, and yet, he KEEPS ON giving to the initial request… even as I no longer ask for it. (I’m not complaining though 🤷🏾‍♀️ lol)
.

So Praise God🙌🏾:
✝️We serve a God who doesn’t stop at the ASK.
✝️We serve a God who wants to do MORE than what we can imagine.
✝️We serve a God who’s CURRENTLY doing more than what we previously anticipated.

✅Humility
✅Desire for Restoration
✅Evidence of Change (repentance)

Consider how Joseph tested his brothers (Genesis 44)
Consider what Hosea told Gomer (Hos. 3:3)
Now, consider your own relationships… 🤔

I’m aware that most of you may have originally subscribed to my channel for my natural hair and men’s hair content. While that content is still on here for your viewing, I’ve evolved so much over the years (for example, I now have loc’d hair instead of loose natural hair) and my newer content has also changed. I’ve have a continually growing desire to share faith/life topic content and less inclination to share about hair. However, since I do have locs, I am considering sharing loc content also—particularly if loc’d hair content is of interest to you all. So, I want to know what you all want. It’s so tempting to see if he might lower AT LEAST some of them—just for us, right? Because he loves us…

Well, yes HE loves us. Do we love him?
.
God is no fool. He says, “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” Revelations 3:16
.
In other words, make a choice—and make it clear. Otherwise, a little unfaithfulness is still just that—unfaithfulness—and God is not pleased by this (Heb. 11:6).
.
So yes, God loves you. But, do you love him?

Consider our relationship with God…
.
1️⃣He loves us unconditionally and wants us to be in relationship with him.
2️⃣Still, He is clear on what a relationship with him will require.

Here it is: “…do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I AM HOLY.” 1 Peter 1:15-16
.
That means, because of who God is, not everyone can or will be in close relationship with him (and this is THEIR choice, reflected through their patterned actions and behavior). Ref. 2 Corin. 6:14
.
So yes, God’s love is unconditional AND a relationship with him is not guaranteed.
.
If we want a relationship with God, then we understand—and agree—that throughout our relationship with him we will transform to mirror his standard of Holiness, rather than remain unaccountable to it. If we do not desire to change in this way, then a relationship with him is simply not our cup of tea—he will respect that, and yet, he will not compromise himself or his conditions to force a relationship. He will lovingly allow us to remain apart from him because that is what we choose, even if that is not what he wants.

Now, if our loving Father upholds relational boundaries with those he loves, why do we struggle to do the same with the people we say we love?
