Back in 2020, I had to be real with myself… I was using my phone primarily for entertainment and distraction. It was taking my time instead of helping me build the life I wanted.

That’s when I realized this little device is one of the most powerful tools in the world… if I use it with intention. From that point on, I made the choice to stop letting it use me and start using it as a tool.

Staying consistent with that mindset has completely changed my life.

If you haven’t already asked yourself the following question, I encourage you to ask yourself now: How am I using my phone right now, as a distraction or as a tool?

The quote on the second slide has made me look at my daily choices totally differently: “We are kept from our goal, not by obstacles, but by a clear path to a lesser goal.”

It has lead me to connecting with our new business parters to expand the Naturalite movement. Ken being one of them. (We’re with him and family in the picture)

We’re using our website GoNaturalite.com as a starting point to achieve our goal: Making natural chemical-free food the new standard in America.

We had a great time in Tennessee connecting with his family and our team while taking care of business this week.

I used to do business backward. I’d come up with an idea, spend money upfront on creating the thing to sell, buying the things to sell, incorporating, and setting everything up—only to struggle to get people to buy. Now I know better. The smartest way to sell something isn’t to start with the product—it’s to start with the people. Before I ever sold a single book, I made sure as many people as possible knew about what I had to offer. And the best way to do that today? Social media.

If you have something valuable—something that can help people—the key is to start posting content that teaches what you know. Make it simple, easy to understand, and genuinely helpful. That’s exactly what I did. I started sharing how I lost 100 pounds while still eating the foods I love, just by choosing better versions. The content I was posting was straight from my book, Life Matters So Let’s Eat Like It. First, I went viral on TikTok. Then I posted the same content on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and now LinkedIn. The more I shared, the more people responded—follows, comments, DMs, and eventually… sales.

The golden rule of marketing and sales is this: Get in front of as many people as possible and let them know what you have to offer. If what you’re selling is valuable, it will sell—as long as people know about it. And the best part? Posting on social media is completely free! Instead of spending money upfront on creating a product, setting up a business, or stocking inventory before you even know if people want it, let the market tell you. Give out the knowledge for free, see if people engage with it, and once they show interest—then create and launch your product.

This strategy changed my life. If you’re thinking about starting a business, creating a product, or just making more money, try this approach. Teach what you know, give value first, and let the demand build before you invest. The proof is in the response. If people are interested, they’ll let you know loud and clear🤙🏾
