18th Century Horsemanship by Kate Fergeson
In this channel, I study/specialize in historical horsemanship, be it cavalry, agriculture, or civilian life particular to the days of the Early Republic and l'Europe of the 1600 and 1700s. These centuries mark a time when warfare changed, and new technologies and philosophies were adopted that would change the Western world. This also marks the last time horses played a critical role in the development of new societies. You'll see me explore techniques and weapons with my horse, be it saber exercises, cavalry drills, and more!
Through this, I seek to better understand and increase my own horsemanship through history, by turning to historical figures such as Deborah Sampson, George Washington, William Lee, John Redman, and more. As well as education by Parelli Natural Horsemanship, this is a documentation our journey.
