Paskaia is a community-led forest restoration project in La Mosquitia, Honduras.
Together with Indigenous Miskito communities, we're bringing back one of Central America's most important forests, now degraded to grassland by fires that return every year. We've formed local fire brigades that protect the young trees long enough for the forest to come back on its own.
Today the project covers 4,000 hectares, with over 4 million trees returning and more than 300 families in paid work.
On this channel we show what the work actually looks like, the community behind it, and how we build a better future for the people and the planet.
Restoring forests, planting hope.
