Leo Valdez of Negros, Philippines is a recording artist who have given the hit "Magsimula Ka."

Leo Valdez established his named in the international and local musical theater as a performer, singer, and actor, and received numerous awards with his outstanding theater productions including his "Ramahari" role and the Good God Manama in "Tales of the Manuva" by the Cultural Centre of the Philippines. He played roles in iconic musicals presented at the Manila Metropolitan Theatre. He also played the role of Jean Valjean in the Philippines repertory production of "Les Miserables" in 1993.

He has starred in the sell-out productions of "Miss Saigon" in the Far East (Manila, Hong Kong & Singapore), and has recreated his role again in the UK National Tour .

He was awarded three times as "one of the most outstanding singers in the country" by The National Press Club Annual TINIG (Voice) Awards, and his song 'Magsimula Ka' - originally composed by Gines Tan for the best song award.
