Peace Parks Foundation strives for a world where humankind and nature live together in harmony. By establishing transfrontier conservation areas – landscapes that straddle political borders – the aim is to restore and preserve large, functional ecosystems. Through collaboration with governments and like-minded organisations, protected land is secured, investment is channelled into effective conservation efforts and biodiversity is increased. Nature-based tourism and other enterprises ensure the long-term sustainability of these conservation areas. And, importantly, the lives of communities living in and around these wild spaces are enhanced.
