There hasn't been much court activity this week, so I present a choice. Should I still do a livestream at the usual time but much shorter (~1hr) and maybe lean more heavily on news stories...
Or take a break this week and spend the time writing a script for a long form video recapping the Baldoni case so far and the evidence against him?
Quick little update to let you know I'm still working to educate myself and construct a theory of change for a lot of the work I'm doing here. As I look at the work I want to do, I do see that we might go to 1-2 videos a week and then supplement with a lot of text content either on Instagram, Substack or a personal blog. It'll be a change to how I approach content, tackling a specific topic and then using the various platforms and media to essentially reinforce that key message with a lot of supporting material.
It's a huge change to how I approach my content, which truthfully is currently a lot more like shit-posting than anything with meaningful intent behind it. The shit posting won't go away, and I'll still be trying to squeeze a video every week or two, as I don't think I could ever give up "These are not facts..." especially since there's so much misinformation out there.
If you're interested in joining along on the journey, I highly recommend the Annie E Casey Foundation's resources on theory of change (www.aecf.org/resources/theory-of-change). They've got a great four part guide that includes templates and examples.
Also I completed my mental health first aid training, so massive shout out to @heidithesausage for their donation that paid for the course and certification. The course actually taught me about mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, something I was not previously aware of. It's an area I think could be massively beneficial to a lot of men and so I'll be digging in and learning more about the topic.
Only one video this week, I'm slacking huh? Felt I should just explain what is going on. I've been struggling the past few weeks to keep up the pace of three videos a week, plus the live stream. It isn't leaving a lot of time for the other projects I really need to make progress on, such as the longer format youtube content (It's April and we don't have a single one done), the book, completing mental health first aid training and some other as yet unnamed stuff.
Feeling the pressure of very stressful week, I opted to just take off some of that self-imposed pressure. I'll probably start going down to two videos a week so that I can work on other things and feel like I'm making some progress.
What this might mean is more updates on the behind the scenes stuff, just so you can be in the loop and hear about the progress being made. One of the big things I really want to tackle over the coming weeks is coming up with a formal "Theory of change". Actually thinking strategically about the change we want to make in social attitudes men have towards mental health and therapy. The hope being this then informs and becomes the bedrock of my content and it all then aligns towards actually pushing towards meaningful social change, beyond just silly internet videos.
A lofty goal, for sure, but over the last few years of making content it has become increasingly clear how there's a void for that sort of content. One that has been regrettably filled with the red pill podcasts I typically lampoon, critique and fact check. Important work by itself, but there also needs to be an element of being the solution, not just mocking the problem. I don't necessarily know I'm up to that challenge, but I feel it is worth an attempt at least and much as I have done so far with my content and platform, just see where it goes and what it morphs into even if it doesn't ultimately end up at the destination I originally intended.
In short, even if I'm not making videos, there's still work being done working towards figuring out how to better advocate for men. Some weeks that progress is a little less as other roles such as husband or father take priority, but it's still moving forward. Let me know if you're interested in hearing about that stuff and what format you'd prefer those updates.. streams, shorts, articles or if you just prefer I focus on the core "calling out misogynists" content.
Sorry to say, no video tomorrow. The video I'm working on took a little more research and wasn't ready in time. It is about a men's mental health charity that is actively endangering men.
In the meantime if you're needing a fix for more content, The F the Nice Guy podcast dropped their latest episode where I join to do a deep dive on the allegations surrounding Impractical Jokers Joe Gatto and James Murray. It's a heavy topic, but has a lot of important insights from Regan around child grooming.
Just a little heads up that there will not be a Wednesday video this week. Instead look for another guest appearance on the F the Nice Guy Podcast with @reganreacts where we do a deep dive on the allegations surrounding the Impractical Jokers Joe Gatto and James Murray.
I'll drop a link and clip once it is posted. We'll be back to normal service for Friday.
Thank you to everyone who voted, Fridays at 7.30pm was the winner. So join me tomorrow night and we'll go through the week's filings and cover the various Motions to Dismiss that were filed this week.
If you have any particular questions, feel free to ask below and we'll cover them in the stream.
As I look for a regular time slot for the weekly "Reading the receipts" recaps of the Justin Baldoni court updates, which of the following two times would be your preference?
Thank you so much for all the of support and feedback for the livestreams this week. Tonight we'll be wrapping up a few loose ends, talking about the intimacy coordinator, the WGA strike and then taking your questions.
So, if you have any remaining questions about the Blake Lively vs Justin Baldoni situation, things that you're still confused about or something that doesn't add up, then please feel free to post them below.
If you're able to make tonight's stream live, I'll be throwing out a handful of free memberships to the channel meaning you'll get to watch my new videos a day early.
Appreciate all of you who have hung out in chat with me over the last week and hopefully for those of you not interested in the topic, these live streams have been a way to cover it without impacting the normal content too much.

Today's video was posted early in order to help support other creators who have already done a lot of work warning about Better Bloke Project.
If after watching you are concerned, you can sign this petition calling for an investigation into their conduct and practices: chng.it/BhZm8FFVGv
