Quick little update to let you know I'm still working to educate myself and construct a theory of change for a lot of the work I'm doing here. As I look at the work I want to do, I do see that we might go to 1-2 videos a week and then supplement with a lot of text content either on Instagram, Substack or a personal blog. It'll be a change to how I approach content, tackling a specific topic and then using the various platforms and media to essentially reinforce that key message with a lot of supporting material.
It's a huge change to how I approach my content, which truthfully is currently a lot more like shit-posting than anything with meaningful intent behind it. The shit posting won't go away, and I'll still be trying to squeeze a video every week or two, as I don't think I could ever give up "These are not facts..." especially since there's so much misinformation out there.
If you're interested in joining along on the journey, I highly recommend the Annie E Casey Foundation's resources on theory of change (www.aecf.org/resources/theory-of-change). They've got a great four part guide that includes templates and examples.
Also I completed my mental health first aid training, so massive shout out to @heidithesausage for their donation that paid for the course and certification. The course actually taught me about mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, something I was not previously aware of. It's an area I think could be massively beneficial to a lot of men and so I'll be digging in and learning more about the topic.
