AALI is a women-led organization committed to the protection and advancement of the social, economic, civil and political rights guaranteed to women* (persons who identify as women), children and other marginalised communities under the Constitution of India. AALI’s ideological framework is rooted in the United Nation’s Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). AALI “envisions an egalitarian social system that recognizes women* as complete individuals and equal human beings through advocacy for women’s human rights.”AALI undertakes direct case intervention, advocacy and capacity building with a strong focus on violence against women and access to justice.
