Grownup T1Ds is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to improve the lives of adults living with Type 1 Diabetes by providing fun social events which help adult T1D’s and newly diagnosed adults find peer support, exchange information, and share real life experiences in dealing with this chronic disease.
We support, educate, advocate, and improve health for the adult insulin-dependent diabetes community. Our meet ups provide a chance for us to compare notes, share tips, and discuss what might be next in medical options. We can chat, laugh and understand we are not alone with autoimmune condition.
Prior to Grownup T1Ds, there was no other organization serving the mi-life and aging T1D community. In 2 years of meet ups, the attendance has grown and gained the attention of leaders in the diabetes community!
These meet ups have welcomed newly diagnosed along with veterans who’ve lived with diabetes for 60 years.
