Bart de Witte is a renowned visionary in digital healthcare, with over twenty years of experience at the intersection of technology and medicine. His career began at SAP, where he developed innovative healthcare solutions as a product manager and later as head of business development. He then held a global leadership role at IBM, including Public Sector Leader for CEE and Director of Digital Health for the DACH region, where he played a key role in shaping digital transformation programs across European healthcare systems. As a forward thinker, he predicted as early as 2018 the rise of open-source AI breakthroughs, what he referred to as the “DeepSeek moment”, and became an early advocate for an open future of AI. This vision led to the founding of the HIPPO AI Foundation in 2019, which promotes open data & open-source AI in healthcare. Since late 2024, he has been the founder and CEO of Isaree GmbH, where he is developing an “operating system” for medical AI assistants and agents.
