This site is a collaboration between master drummer and Dartmouth College professor Hafiz Shabazz and his student Pete Mathias and is intended for individuals interested in learning more about world percussion. Each lesson entails basic instruction on how to play the rhythm that is accompanied by a brief explanation of its origin and cultural significance.
