In 1987, out of Oakland and inspired by the funk bands of the 1970s, Gregory "Shock G" Jacobs, also known as Humpty Hump, set out to create an “all Atlantic, all Pacific, grand imperial hip-hop dynasty.” That vision became Digital Underground.
Digital Underground’s lineup evolved with each album and tour, featuring diverse voices from across the globe, including Tupac Shakur, Raw Fusion, Saafir, David "DJ Fuze" Elliot, Jeremy "J-Beats" Jackson, singer Mystic, and more. Shock G and Money-B remained the only constants, appearing on every album.
In 1990, they released their debut album, Sex Packets. Playful, visionary, and funky as ever, their music videos dominated MTV's Top 100, while both Sex Packets and its hit single, “The Humpty Dance,” achieved platinum status—a landmark moment that solidified their place in hip hop history.
Celebrating this musical legacy, welcome to Digital Underground Official, proudly curated and managed by TNT Recordings.
