CERI is a new state-of-the-art scientific facility with headquarters in Stellenbosch and genomics labs at Tygerberg Medical School and KRISP at Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine in South Africa. CERI wants to challenge the status quo and allow Africa to become the leader in epidemic response and pandemic preparedness. The way we challenge the status quo is by creating a world-class infrastructure to support trans-disciplinary research that can quickly pivot to respond to new epidemics and pandemics. We use our long-term experience in epidemics together with novel digital and biological technologies to identify new pathogens and outbreaks and create diagnostics, therapies, vaccines and public health guidance to respond in record time.
