Israeli forces have detained 35 Palestinians and seized 15 cars during an ongoing raid on al-Mughayyir, a village east of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to Haaretz. Local sources said soldiers were deployed across the village, closed its only entrance and raided several homes, where they reportedly ransacked belongings and took cash and gold jewellery.

The operation follows an attack on al-Mughayyir by Israeli settlers and forces the previous day, during which Palestinians suffered assaults and homes were raided. The village has faced repeated settler attacks and Israeli military raids, with the UN documenting a rise in incidents involving Palestinian casualties, property damage and agricultural losses.

A young Palestinian man narrowly escaped death on 19 Sep after he was pulled out from the rubble of a partially collapsed building. The incident is the third of its kind in four days.

The Gaza Civil Defence issued a statement saying they were able to “extract a young man, in good condition, after part of a building collapsed on him”.

The fierce bombardment throughout Israel's war on Gaza and restrictions on aid and vital resources such as excavation tools and building equipment has also meant that thousands of families are forced to live in unstable and dilapidated homes with damaged foundations. However, families have little option but to stay in these dangerous environments due to overcrowding and poor conditions in shelters.

Organisers of the “Cultur-ALH” International Festival in Granada decided to withdraw the invitation extended to Argentine writer Ariana Harwicz, days before the festival, on 20 Sep.

Festival directors Patricia Escalona and Ana Galleano Cuéllar confirmed the withdrawal of her invitation over Harwicz’s stance against the cultural boycott of Israel, as well as a letter from the “University Network for Palestine” in Granada calling for her invitation to be withdrawn.

Reading clubs at the University of Granada, which are hosting some of the festival’s events, announced their refusal to discuss or read Harwicz’s works due to her opposition to the cultural boycott of Israel.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog has granted an amnesty, expunging the criminal record of former soldier Elor Azaria, convicted of killing a wounded Palestinian in Hebron, West Bank in 2016.

Azaria was released in May 2018 after serving nine months of his sentence, half the term originally imposed, for the killing of Abdel Fattah al-Sharif.

Herzog's office said he decided to grant Azaria's request to erase the remaining period of his criminal record "so he can move forward with his life".

The decision was announced ahead of the Yom Kippur Jewish holiday which begins on the evening of Sunday 20 Sep. The pardon was granted despite opposition from Israeli military Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir.

Al-Sharif was shot by an Israeli soldier and left on the ground for eleven minutes when Azaria then shot him in the head.

Azaria claims he feared al-Sharif was wearing an explosive belt, saying this was the reason why he shot him, a defence which was rejected by an Israeli court. The killing sparked outrage in Israel as it was filmed by an activist working with the human rights group B'Tselem, showing Azaria approaching and shooting al-Sharif as he lay motionless.

Efforts are underway to push a return to the Islamabad MoU agreed between Iran and the US in June.

Iran's Interior Ministry said “active diplomacy continues with the president’s participation in the Shanghai and BRICS meetings in India and Kyrgyzstan, and through intensive consultations", in a statement carried by Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency.

For his part, US President Donald Trump has said that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons will come with some cost, however predicted that the war would soon end, followed by a drop in fuel prices.

Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, Director-General of the Gaza Ministry of Health, has lost his eldest son, Baseer Muneer Al-Bursh, who was killed in an Israeli attack near his home in Jabalia, northern Gaza.

Al-Bursh has been a key voice in continuing to expose Israeli attacks and violations against the health sector in Gaza.

This comes as part of a wider pattern in which Israel targets the families, loved ones and homes of those who speak out, or play an active role in revealing Israeli war crimes to the world, in a bid to silence them.

Children under the age of three were referred hundreds of times to the UK government's controversial counter-terrorism scheme, Prevent, known for its bias against Muslim communities.

Data revealed that babies under the age of two were referred to Prevent 86 times between 2016-17 and 2023-24, with over two-thirds (59) of these referrals over so-called “Islamist” concerns.
