Johnny Rockett is an American singer-songwriter from Charlotte, North Carolina. He creates a full band atmosphere with warm original songs, dynamic guitar playing, and a vibrant tenor voice.
He draws inspiration from singer-songwriters such as Amos Lee, Ray LaMontagne, and Jason Mraz.As a lead guitarist, he has toured nationally with artists like Chris Jones And The Southern Outlaws and performed as a guitar vocalist on Carnival Cruise Line.
Since moving to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2020, Rockett has been showcasing original content at college campuses across the country, local listening rooms, and house concerts. In the fall of 2023, Rockett launched "Keep It Original Events" a project, aiming to create a unique listening experience while empowering budding songwriters. This project was co-founded by Rockett and two local songwriters as a songwriter collective to feature local creative talent in a Nashville Songwriter Rounds show format.
