Bartholomew Jones is an emcee, educator, and creative hailing from Memphis, TN, a city symbolic in both its art and struggles. Memphis is home of the modern blues, but it is also known for the fateful death of Martin Luther King III. In this fractured history, Bartholomew Jones crafts an vision hip hop artistry that speaks to both aspects of it's canvas. His music echoes the city's brokenness. His lyrics prophesy a hope of beauty yet unseen. "I believe our city is being used by God as a dwelling place of invasive creativity" " says Jones. His music reflects the influences of early blues, progressive jazz, classic Hip Hop, and contemporary electronica. A creative at heart, Bartholomew channels his craft as an emcee not only through the microphone, but also through spoken word, public speaking, and teaching.
