"Gutter rap" is a term coined by Sydney MC Sky'high, used to describe the new denomination of Aussie Hip hop (Also refined and developed by Sky'high); which is currently primarily Sydney based, and is defined by it's raw " I don't give a f**k" attitude, topics adhering to crime savvy and struggling/ working class Sydney siders and the distinct strong representation of Sydney "Lad" culture.
The "Sydney Gutter" style has now been adapted to RnB, allowing this new genre to appeal to a broader audience.
