Meditation consists of extended sitting and controlled breathing. This helps to decrease blood pressure & cholesterol, leading to less tension, overall better health and greater energy levels.

Pain is connected to your state of mind, and it can be elevated in stressful conditions.
Studies show that meditation can help you control & cope with pain and even reduce or relieve pain altogether.

* ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE
A huge part of any athletic endeavour is mental.
Meditation can not only improve concentration, but it can also impact flexibility and balance.

Guided Meditation:
* Helps You Stay Alert While You Meditate - by guiding you through your meditation through visualization or prompts. This can help you stay focused and prevent your mind from wandering.
* Gives Structure to Your Meditation - by providing you with scenarios or imagery. This is helpful when you are meditating on a problem or emotion that you are struggling with, guided meditations often help guide you to a place where you can find ideas or solutions.
* There are Guided Meditations for Everything - no matter what you are struggling with, you are sure to find a guided meditation that can help.

Self Meditation:
* Improves Focus - over time with repeated practice, self meditation can help improve your focus as you are constantly practising keeping your mind in the present moment and focused on the breath.
* You Can Meditate on Multiple Things - you are not confined to meditating on one thing, you can meditate on any number of things during your meditation session.
* Length of Meditation - with self meditation you can meditate for as long or as little time as you wish. This can be a benefit or quite the opposite as we are often less likely to meditate for longer periods of time when we have the option to stop anytime we like. Using a meditation timer can be helpful for this. Choose how long you would like to meditate for and use a meditation timer that will play relaxing music for that length of time. This way you are not focused on the clock, you know that when the music stops you have reached your desired meditation time.
