Netrakumbh is a platform formed during 2019 Kumbh Mela to organize an Eye camp which has taken a shape of the world's biggest free eye camp where around 374 doctors, 570 Optometrists and 22 hospitals from across India has participated and around 2 Lakh people benefitted from screening for various diseases and more than 1,55,210 spectacles were distributed to the needy. Later is has become a trend to organize such mega free eye camps during such great gatherings. Netrakumbh 2021 during Covid benefitted around 38,000 people. Upcoming 2025 would witness more than 500 doctors to screen more than 5,00,000 beneficiaries and to distribute more than 3,00,000 spectacles for the needy. All these efforts are to promote positive health and to eradicate preventable blindness in the country.
