I started covering energy 20 years ago in 2004 when the US was building import terminals for natural gas, and renewable energy produced 1% of US electricity.

Now, the US is the largest producer and exporter of natural gas. Renewables represent more power on the grid than coal, and coal is being mined for critical minerals.

The world is in an energy transition that revolves around electrification, a transition that requires all forms of energy.

After nearly 20 years, the movement to get to net zero emissions to keep global temps from increasing 2 degrees is yielding to more pressing concerns—rising energy demand and national security.

I will be posting podcasts on this channel that take you with me on this energy odyssey.
