Our motto: "Everything becomes difficult when you want to own things, carry them with you and own them. And I just look at them, and as I go away, I try to keep them in my mind. And this way I avoid carrying suitcases, because it's not a pleasure at all." ( Snufkin in "Comet in Moominland")

We invite you for our new video. It'a about Tiryns. Tiryns is a Mycenaean fortress in Argolis in Greece. This place in the Peloponnese is location from which the mythical hero Heracles set out to complete his Twelve Labours and some sources cite it as his birthplace. Tyryns lies 20 km south of Mycenae. It reached its height of importance between 1400 and 1200 BC, when it became one of the most important centers of the Mycenaean world.
The attached frame from the video shows how huge the fortress walls in Tiryns were. Here you can really see what Cyclopean masonry means.

Tomorrow, we invite you to the second part of the video about the Mycenaeans, a time before classical ancient Greece.
In the video we are around 1900-1200 BC, the time before the Dark Ages. This time we show the second fortress – in Tiryns. We then show the grave goods of a Mycenaean warrior, including the famous bronze armor. We conclude by saying a few words about the so-called Tomb of Agamemnon or the Treasury of Atreus in Mycenae.

The oldest boomerang in the world was found in Poland. It comes from Paleolithic. The boomerang was placed in the cave along with a human thumb bone and other items. That the entire group comes from the Paleolithic has been known for a long time. But it is a revelation that recent research has pushed the dating of this group back by 10 thousand years! A link to a scientific article on this topic is in the description under the video which we invite you to watch.

We invite you for our new video. This time we are at a megalithic site near Antequera in Andalusia in Spain. The place is extremely interesting - there are 3 megalithic tombs, astronomically related, although the time of their creation was very distant. The first was created in the Neolithic, and the last in the Bronze Age.
What is more, one of the megaliths (Dolmen de Menga) is famous for having one of the largest burial chambers in Europe!

We invite you for a new video :-) Amber - interesting and beautiful. Mainly in the Amber Museum in Gdańsk and partly in the Museum of the Earth in Warsaw we are talking about the origins of amber, its varieties, inclusions and ways of using it. Including the history of the use of amber and about unique inclusions. They are sometimes unique on a global scale and can be seen at the Amber Museum in Gdańsk.
There is also a bit about modifications of the original lumps of amber, as well as its imitations.
