Aren Ishiro
Since he was a child, he has spoken little, observed a lot, and filled notebooks with geometric symbols that no one can decipher.
They are not random drawings: they look like patterns, internal maps, emotional formulas.
At 14, during a trip to New Zealand, an elderly Māori tattoo artist tells him a phrase that will remain with him forever:
“Some carry their voices in their chests. You will carry her in the scars.”
Aren doesn't understand, but he feels that sentence affects him more than he can imagine.
At 19, an accident marks him forever.
A piece of metal tears the right side of his face.
The scar is huge, impossible to hide.
Worse still:
his vocal cords are damaged.
Doctors tell him he won't be able to sing anymore.
For Aren, who almost never speaks but lives through music, it's a condemnation......but life always holds great surprises.....
