I’m an observer of both the everyday and the extraordinary—living in Japan, sharing what fascinates me most.
I love horror: works like *Ringu* (Sadako) and *Ju-On* always thrill me, but it’s the chilling atmosphere of the 1996 Japanese film *女優霊 (Ghost Actress / also known internationally as Don’t Look Up)* that I especially enjoy.
Among more recent Japanese horror, the 2015 film *残穢 –住んではいけない部屋– (Zan’e; released internationally as *The Inerasable*) is a favorite of mine for its deeply unsettling atmosphere.
