Lauri Pihlap, a pop artist strongly influenced by r&b, soul, hip-hop and rock music, has been active as a singer/songwriter/producer since 1999.
In the summer of 2000, Lauri joined the r&b group Soul Militia.
In 2001 they (as background vocalists and dancers) won the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen.
Fron 2002-2012 Soul Militia released 2 studio albums- "On the Rise" (2002) and "Silence Before the Storm" (2004) and 11 singles.
In 2005 they opened for Lenny Kravitz in Tallinn, Estonia.
Lauri (using the moniker Lowry) began pursuing a solo career in the spring of 2007 with his debut single "Breathe". His self-written and co-produced debut album "Split Personality" followed that same year year.
In 2008, Lauri had an opportunity to open for US r&b stars Rihanna and Sean Kingston Kingston. In 2017 he opened for hip hop superstar Nelly.
Lauri released his second album "LP" in May 2015.
Since 2007 Lauri Pihlap has released 2 studio albums, 20 singles and 9 music videos.
