The Miami Sudbury School is a democratic K-12 school that empowers children through freedom & responsibility for truly innovative experiential learning and personal growth. Our school is a cutting-edge learning environment where students aged 4-18 pursue their interests in a safe, supported mixed-age environment. They are accountable to a student and staff led Restorative Justice Committee and help shape the school itself in weekly School Meetings. They are not subject to narrowly defined curricular benchmarks through testing, but are rather allowed to pursue their interests widely and deeply. Sudbury students are part of more than 50 year history of innovation, intrinsic motivation, and young people who become wildly successful academically, interpersonally, and entrepreneurially.
