You are not addicted to food by accident.
Ultra-processed foods are designed to hijack your brain, disrupt hormones, and keep you craving more. When I switched to whole, clean foods, my cravings calmed, my discipline returned, and my body finally felt safe again.
If you’re struggling with emotional eating, sugar cravings, or feeling out of control around food this is your sign.

Yall the weekend came and went and I didn’t post the reflection on Day 6+7, just like that it came and went.
Day 6
If you’ve made it to Day 6, something shifts.
The loud cravings?
They start to quiet.
The mental fog?
It begins to lift.
The constant food noise?
It’s no longer in control.
This is usually the day people say, “I didn’t think I could do this.”
And that’s the point.
By now, your body has moved through the hardest part the withdrawal from old habits, processed foods, excess sugar, and constant stimulation. The liver has been working. Inflammation has started to come down. Insulin responses begin to normalize.
But the biggest shift isn’t physical.
It’s mental clarity.
You realize:
• You don’t need to eat out of boredom
• You can feel discomfort without reacting
• You are capable of discipline when you honor your word
This is why fasting is so powerful it teaches self-trust.
⸻
Day 7
By now, your body has had space to reset digestion, open detox pathways, and support the liver in doing what it was designed to do clean house.
But what you gain goes far beyond the scale.
You come out of this:
✨ Lighter in your body
✨ Clearer in your mind
✨ Stronger in your discipline
This is why fasting is such a powerful starting point especially if you’ve struggled with emotional eating or food addiction.
You didn’t just take food away.
You took time to retrain your nervous system.
You proved to yourself that cravings don’t own you.
Now here’s the key going forward 👇🏽
How you re-enter matters.
Come back intentionally.
• Whole foods
• Clean meals
• Simple ingredients
• Listening to hunger cues instead of habits
This is where weight loss becomes sustainable because it’s no longer forced. It’s aligned.
And if you had moments where you wanted to quit…
That doesn’t disqualify you.
Fasting doesn’t make you perfect.
It makes you aware.
Aware enough to choose differently.
Aware enough to start fresh.
Aware enough to believe you can continue.
If you’re reading this and thinking, “Maybe I should try…”
Let this be your sign.
Start where you are.
Commit to your word.
Honor your body.

Let’s talk about the importance of fasting especially for those of us who have eaten processed foods most of our lives.
Some people can go cold turkey, clean up their diet, and never look back.
But many struggle with food addiction, emotional eating, and deep-rooted habits tied to comfort, stress, and survival.
And that’s where fasting becomes powerful.
Fasting isn’t punishment.
It’s discipline training.
I’ve fasted long enough to confidently say this:
👉🏽 If you’re trying to lose weight and you’ve lived on processed foods for years, fasting should be the first step, not the last.
Why? Because before you can eliminate effectively, your body needs its pathways opened.
For me, my target organ is the liver.
The liver is responsible for:
• Detoxifying chemicals and toxins
• Processing excess sugar and fat
• Regulating hormones
• Supporting metabolism and energy
When the liver is overworked (which is common with processed foods, sugar, seed oils, and fast food), weight loss becomes harder, cravings increase, and inflammation stays high.
Fasting especially juice fasting gives the liver a break.
It allows the body to redirect energy from digestion to repair, detox, and reset.
Once those pathways are open, elimination becomes easier physically and mentally.
And let me be real with you 👇🏽
Going into this, you will feel like quitting.
Not because you’re weak
But because your body is fighting old habits.
Old patterns don’t leave quietly.
They negotiate. They crave. They resist.
This is where discipline is built.
✨ Stick with your word
✨ Distract yourself when urges hit
✨ Go for a walk
✨ Stretch
✨ Pick up a hobby
✨ Keep yourself busy
✨ And most importantly REST
Rest is not laziness.
It’s part of healing.
When the fast is done, you don’t just start fresh with a lighter body
You start with a renewed mind, clearer signals, and a stronger sense of self-trust.
Fasting teaches you this truth:
👉🏽 You are not controlled by cravings
👉🏽 You can sit with discomfort and survive it
👉🏽 You are capable of change
If you’re considering fasting, don’t fear the resistance expect it.
And when it comes, don’t give in.
This is where transformation begins 🤍

Today was interesting…
I actually had to force myself to drink my juice because I wasn’t hungry. And in a real, honest moment no cap I realized this is something that happens more often than people expect.
When your body starts to stabilize when blood sugar isn’t constantly spiking and crashing, when digestion finally gets a break hunger doesn’t scream the same way.
This is important so READ right here👇🏽
What many of us call “hunger” is often:
• Habit
• Emotional attachment
• Stress response
• Or routine timing (not true need)
As the body begins to detox and regulate, appetite can naturally quiet down. That doesn’t mean you’re depriving yourself. It means your body is finally listening inward instead of reacting outward.
And this is usually the moment when fear creeps in:
“Is this safe?”
“Should I be hungry?”
“Am I doing enough?”
Yes. This is part of the process.
Fasting especially juicing isn’t about ignoring your body.
It’s about relearning how to hear it clearly.
So if you’ve been thinking:
“I want to start but I’m scared.”
“I don’t think I have the discipline.”
“I could never go a day without food.”
Let this be your sign.
You don’t have to start with a long fast.
You don’t have to be perfect.
You don’t have to do what anyone else is doing.
Start with:
✨ One day
✨ One meal replaced
✨ One intentional choice
Your body is wiser than you think.
Your mind is more capable than you’ve been told.
And your journey doesn’t have to look extreme to be effective.
If this resonates and you’ve been on the fence start where you are.
Grace + consistency will always take you further than fear 🤍

Let’s Talk About the Mind 🧠
One of the biggest breakthroughs on this journey has nothing to do with juice…
It has everything to do with what we tell ourselves.
I once heard someone say, “I could never do a juice fast. I can’t go that long without food.”
And my immediate thought was: Why not?
Not in a judgmental way but in an awareness way.
Because so often, it’s not our bodies that can’t do something…
It’s our beliefs.
Our minds are incredibly powerful.
What you repeatedly tell yourself, your body eventually believes and follows.
If you tell yourself:
• “I’m weak”
• “I can’t be disciplined”
• “I always fail”
• “I need food to function”
Your nervous system responds to that story with stress, fear, cravings, and resistance.
But when you shift the narrative to:
• “My body is intelligent”
• “I am capable of discipline”
• “Hunger is a signal, not an emergency”
• “I can sit with discomfort and still be okay”
Something changes.
Here’s the educational truth👇🏽
Hunger during fasting especially in the first few days is largely hormonal and neurological, not true starvation. Ghrelin (the hunger hormone) rises in waves, not in a straight line. If you hydrate, mineralize, and support your body properly, those waves pass.
Your body learns.
Your mind adapts.
Your confidence grows.
Fasting whether juice fasting or intermittent fasting is as much mental training as it is physical detox.
Day 3 is often when the mind starts negotiating:
“Just one bite won’t hurt.”
“You’ve done enough.”
“This isn’t sustainable.”
And that’s when you gently remind yourself:
✨ I am safe
✨ I am supported
✨ I am stronger than the story I used to tell myself
This journey isn’t about proving anything.
It’s about rewiring, renewing, and remembering what your body was designed to do.
If you’ve ever said, “I could never do that,”
I want you to pause and ask:
👉🏽 Who taught me that belief?
👉🏽 And is it actually true?
Because sometimes the fast isn’t just from food…
It’s from old narratives that no longer serve you 🤍
