Iām Vannah a wife, mom, and nurse practitioner on a journey of healing, weight loss, and holistic wellness. For years, I lived life on autopilot busy with work, family, and responsibilities while neglecting my own health, emotionally, mentally, and physically. After facing trauma, loss, anxiety, and health challenges, I realized it was time to take control of my body, mind, and spirit.
I started documenting my weight loss journey, but this truly is evolving into something bigger than me as Iāve seen how many health struggles stem from poor nutrition, stress, and lack of awareness so I decided to kick it up a notch and share what I know as a NP and what Iām learning about holistic health, disease prevention, and sustainable lifestyle changes. My goal is to help women like you make intentional choices for your health, reclaim your energy, and live a more fulfilled life. Letās stop living on autopilot and make one daily healthier choice at a time š

Today we celebrate the women who pour love into others, often while carrying so much themselves. Whether you gave birth, helped raise someone, prayed over someone, supported someone through hard seasons, or simply showed up with love you matter deeply.
I pray today reminds you that your presence has purpose. Even on the days you feel unseen, exhausted, or stretched thin, God sees every sacrifice, every tear, every prayer, and every act of love.
To the woman who is still healingā¦
To the woman carrying heavy responsibilitiesā¦
To the woman learning to love herself againā¦
To the woman grieving, hoping, rebuilding, or becomingā¦
Keep going. Your life still holds beauty, purpose, and promise. š·

There was a season of my life where I didnāt even recognize myself anymoreā¦
I was doing everything I was supposed to do.
Showing up for work.
Taking care of my family.
Handling responsibilities.
But deep down⦠I was exhausted.

I told myself, āJust do 30 minutes. Thatās it. Donāt overthink it. Just move your body.ā
No pressure. No extremes. Just keep the promise.
So I put on my gospel playlist, stepped outside, and started walking.
And somewhere between talking to God, breathing deeper than I have in days, and letting the sun hit my face⦠I felt Him with me.
Not in a loud, dramatic way.
But in a gentle, steady whisper:
āKeep going.ā
Step by step.
Prayer by prayer.
Tear by tear.
And before I knew it⦠3+ miles.
Yāall⦠this is what Iām learning on my healing and weight loss journey:
Transformation doesnāt start with discipline.
It starts with surrender.
Surrendering the timeline.
Surrendering the shame.
Surrendering the comparison.
Surrendering the fear that this time wonāt be different.
As a nurse practitioner, I understand the science of weight loss, hormones, inflammation, and metabolism.
But as a woman of faith walking through her own holistic health journey, Iām learning that healing is deeper than macros and meal plans.
Itās obedience in the small things.
Itās keeping the promise you made to yourself.
Itās choosing movement when youād rather numb out.
Itās trusting God with your body instead of fighting it.
