There was a time a camera couldn’t catch me posing like this.

I would hide.
Hide behind angles.

But something shifted.

As I’ve been building my relationship with God, healing my mind, being intentional about what I eat, and actually moving my body consistently… I don’t just feel smaller.

I feel FREE.

Free from shame.
Free from hiding.
Free from food controlling me.
Free from the version of me that didn’t believe she deserved to feel confident.

The choices I’m making now align with the woman I’m becoming.
And that alignment? It’s powerful.

You Do NOT Need to Eat Less to Lose Weight 🤍

For years, I thought weight loss meant restriction… eating less, cutting everything I loved, and constantly feeling deprived.

But here’s the truth 👉🏽 I lost over 60 pounds without giving up the foods I love.

What changed?
• I stopped eating ultra-processed junk
• I removed excess sugar
• I followed the 80/20 rule (80% nourishing whole foods, 20% flexibility)
• I moved my body daily
• And most importantly… I changed my mindset and relationship with myself and my body

If you’re just starting your weight loss journey, hear me clearly:
✨ Simply removing heavily processed foods alone can help you lose weight.

Now let’s talk about calories and food scales because this is where people get confused.

You do not have to use a food scale forever.
However, it is helpful especially in the beginning to understand what and how much you’re actually consuming. Most of us truly don’t know.

Weight loss still comes down to building a calorie deficit but that doesn’t mean restriction.
It means awareness + better food quality.

You don’t have to give up the foods you love.
You just need to:
✔️ Know your portions
✔️ Clean up your diet a bit
✔️ Choose foods that fuel and nourish your body
✔️ Create a sustainable deficit

This week, I’m challenging myself to start using a food scale not because I want to obsess over calories (that’s NOT my focus), but because knowledge is power. And honestly? I’m excited for the challenge.

I’m proud to say I can still eat what I love, enjoy my food, and lose weight without saying “I can’t have this” or “I need to restrict that.”

This journey has been nothing short of amazing.
God has tested me more times than I can count and yes, there were moments I wanted to quit. But every single day I’m reminded that the vision God showed me will not come to pass if I give up on myself.

I have to stay the course.
I have to keep taking action.
I have to keep moving even when it feels uncomfortable.

God’s promises will prevail if I stay aligned and stay obedient.

Up until now, my movement has been walking and YouTube workouts cardio and light strength. But I’m entering a new lane. I’ve decided to step into my home gym and truly challenge myself with strength training using machines and dumbbells.

And let me be honest… I’m a true beginner.
There are moments I stand there like, “Okay Lord… how do I even use this machine?” 😅
Thank God for the little diagrams, YouTube, and yes ChatGPT because I’m learning as I go.

But I’m not backing down.
I’m choosing to conquer this phase too.

I’m actually loving this process the growth, the discipline, the faith stretch.
And the best part?
This is only the beginning. ✨

In a few months you will thank yourself for not giving up on yourself.

“In due season you shall reap if you faint not" from Galatians 6:9 (KJV). Encouraging perseverance in doing good works despite not seeing immediate results. It promises that at the right time God's appointed time a harvest of blessings or rewards will come, provided one does not give up, lose heart, or grow weary.

Simple finds at Publix..

Tried this Humm Kombucha blackberry vanilla and I recommend you try if you loved grape soda but want a cleanish alternative…

Then for lunch I had the Falafel sandwich but not on there (white,wheat, or honey oat) I found out you can buy the baguettes made of sourdough only and use on a sandwich and of course choose your toppings…

I know everyone is not into reading ingredients and it’s okay but for those that like to live by the 80/20 rule of clean eating I thought I share.. I always wondered if they could so glad I asked..
