GojiSonic's Short But Visually Appealing JURASSIC WORLD REBIRTH Review - PLOT/STORY: 5/10 = The plot feels like your typical adventure exploration, which I believe really let down this movie’s potential. It has a good concept from the surface, but definitely could’ve been better executed. - INTRODUCTION: 8/10 = Jurassic films lately have had a thing for almost always having the first scene in their movies be the best scene in the entire movie... - CONCLUSION: 1/10 = It just ends...... - PROTAGONIST: 2/10 = Zora Bennett honestly felt bland and a little stereotypical for about the entirety of the movie with the only real time I felt something for her being near the end with her having brief emotional breakdown. - ANTAGONIST: 3/10 = The Distortus has a really cool design, and was a really strong way to introduce the movie, but tragically has zero relevancy to the overall plot and barely feels like a threat upon finally returning near the end. - DYNAMICS: 5/10 = The relationship between Zora and her team was to be expected with the way it was handled given the context/situation they put themselves in, so I really didn’t pay much attention to this particular aspect. - EMOTIONS: 4/10 = The only real time where there were any impacting emotions was near the end when our main characters were trying to escape the island with the cost of a “sacrifice”, which ends up being pointless with a plot twist. - HUMOR: 8/10 = The audience in my theater sure loved Xavier, I’m a little guilty of that myself. - ACTION: 7/10 = I really enjoyed the mosasaurus/spinosaurus sequence near the midway section of the movie the most out of the other creatures that the team was searching for. - SUSPENSE: 8/10 = Only because of the opening scene with the guy trapped inside with the Distortus. Yes, there was the family on the sinking boat with the mosasaurus in the water with them, but their survival was predictable. - SOUNDTRACK: 3/10 = The original Jurassic Park theme with the titanosaurus was unsurprisingly the only track that could be felt in the movie. The only time I actually paid attention to the rest of the soundtrack was during the credits. - CINEMATOGRAPHY: 5/10 = The colors are overall natural, so I don’t have much to comment regarding that, with shots, I do like numerous shots within the scenes with the D-Rex, and the quetzalcoatlus, but they’re not peak cinema kind of shots. - PACING: 3/10 = I would say trim down a majority of the sequence between Zora, Martin, and Henry with their mission right after the laboratory incident scene in the beginning in replacement for a better spread out conclusion at the end. - POWERSCALING: Jurassic World Rebirth doesn’t have as many feats as some of the previous entries in the series, but, they do appear, and when they do appear, you are thrown off in a good way at least, primarily with the Distortus late in the film. Because these are dinosaurs following a grounded universe’s rules, and not world-ending gods, it is expected for them to take injury to modern day weapons, but they can still show resilience on some occasions. (Base Goku Victim) - OVERALL: 4/10 = Jurassic World Rebirth has a promising story that is enjoyable on the surface, but once you begin to dig deep into the way the crew chose to portray said story, it begins to fall apart unfortunately.
GojiSonic's Short But Visually Appealing MURDER DRONES Review - PLOT/STORY: 7/10 = The plot overall was entertaining to watch throughout most of it. It started off strong, became a little less interesting midway through, but managed to get right back up at the end in a satisfying manner. - INTRODUCTION: 7/10 = Some lore background is always a nice way to start off a series of this genre. The sudden shift from the planet being destroyed to a school presentation did throw me off a little initially but it was handled decently for me so I got used to it shortly after. - CONCLUSION: 8/10 = I like how you’re fooled into believing numerous are dead throughout the entire final battle only to be proven otherwise. (I would’ve preferred if specific characters actually died in that final battle.) - PROTAGONIST: 5/10 = Uzi came off as classically edgy which at times caused for corny/cringy moments, but, there were moments where she was the best character in certain scenes, so I’ll let it slide. - ANTAGONIST: 8/10 = Incredibly literal, I like that. - DYNAMICS: 3/10 = I wasn’t really satisfied with how quick N was to switch his love interest from V to Uzi instantly without much struggle. That is certainly something I would’ve handled differently if I had control over this series. - EMOTIONS: 7/10 = Initially came off as incredibly dull, but made up for it in those last three episodes with confidence, fear, sadness, despair, and desperation all at once which did intrigue me. - HUMOR: 2/10 = Aside from the sudden silence in extremely suspenseful moments and the perfectly cut screams, the humor didn’t really match my style. - ACTION: 8/10 = Seeing stuff blow up on a cosmic scale always makes my day. - SUSPENSE: 7/10 = Episode 2 and 6 handled this aspect the best with characters being slaughtered all around our main characters. - SOUNDTRACK: 9/10 = Dark Synthwave music gets my adrenaline going. - CINEMATOGRAPHY: 8/10 = I really admired the dark blues, reds, yellows, and oranges + the apocalyptic camera angles throughout a majority of the series, especially during the finale. - PACING: 5/10 = I truly believe this series needed at least three more episodes to flesh things out more properly when it came to its characters. - POST-CREDITS: 5/10 = I mean....what can I say about the post-credit scene that lasted like 15 seconds that is really that important to talk about in the first place..? - POWERSCALING: Most of Murder Drones’ powerscaling comes from its 6th, and 8th episode with Cyn outright consuming entire planets via black holes. Though, most characters aside from a few tragically get injured by everyday weapons like knives, pens, etc. (Yes, I’m aware of Cyn’s universal statements, however, I’m only focusing on on-screen feats for this review. Also base Goku victim.) - OVERALL: 7/10 = Murder Drones managed to satisfyingly live up to what I was expecting it to be prior to watching it during my note-taking on the franchise the month before watching it. (May 2025) - I will be obtaining a Cyn plushie soon. It is inevitable, and has been inevitable for a few months now.
Here are Sonic characters that I want to personally see in the following Sonic movies (if Paramount chooses to continue making Sonic movies after Sonic 4)
You are allowed to go back in time to February 14, 2020 (or any day that you watched Sonic 1 for the first time) and you can show your past-self who just finished watching it ONLY ONE scene from Sonic Movie 3, which clip would you choose, and why?
