The Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) is a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization engaged in saving the endangered Philippine Eagle (Pithecophaga jefferyi) from extinction.
The PEF performs direct conservation actions for the Philippine Eagle. Over twenty years of conservation work has resulted in a vast collection of information on the characteristics and behavior of Philippine Eagles, monitoring of wild eagle pairs and their nests, and protection of thousands of hectares of forest habitats that benefit both eagle and man. The PEF implements programs in research, community-based conservation, conservation breeding, and education.
