I started collecting comedy and novelty records in the 1980s. I also collected small group 1920s/30s era jazz, and that expanded into a wider love of jazz (although not as many purchases as I now would like). In the 1990s, most of my new release purchases switched to CDs, but record purchases continued as there is a lot of comedy and novelty material that has not yet been reissued. After a long break adding to my collection, I'm finally getting back to it now.
I share my collection with my (high school sweetheart) wife.
The channel name is from the weekly comedy radio show that I hosted in the 1990s on college stations KUCR and KCSB, "Slambo's Car of Idiots". Since moving to the Midwest, I have volunteered a bit at WORT, where I have hosted a few Access Hour shows.
