In recent years, I have explored creative methodologies that are heedful of the physical world and its phenomenon. Through percussion, I have established that time itself — foundational to our experience of the world yet an unshakeable riddle — is the footing on which my creative work operates. I understand music as a component of time rather than time as a component of music. In this manner, I seek a creative practice that engages with the known properties and standing mysteries of mass & matter, force & motion, energy & charge.
