MABEL SCOTT BLUES SINGER
This channel is dedicated to honoring the memory of blues singer Mabel Scott. Born in Richmond Virginia and raised in NY City Mabel began show business in 1930 and stopped touring and entertaining in 1960 when she returned to her gospel roots in Los Angeles California. Along the way she recorded songs many of which are still played today. She was married to Charles Brown one of the biggest names in blues in the 1940s.
