Michael Hartigan
I'm a musician who does a lot of different things and enjoys all of them: I'm a keyboard player (and occasional violinist, accordionist, and singer) for several bands and artists in the Chicago area. I also compose and arrange music in many styles, for a wide range of ensembles and applications ranging from small bands to choirs, big jazz bands and full orchestras. I've spent a fair amount of time in recording studios both as a session player and as a producer for various artists.
This channel is sort of a playground/showcase for some of my own ideas. A lot of what I do professionally involves working with other peoples' musical ideas and striving to make them the best they can be, which I love. Over the past couple years, I've had a bit of an itch to express some creativity of my own, and YouTube seems like an excellent avenue for that. In addition, I enjoy sharing some of the tips and tricks of musicianship that I've stumbled across during my journey so far. I hope you enjoy!
