He started his training in Mridangam under Sri MA Krishnamurthy of Bangalore and has had his advanced training under the world renowned artiste, Padma Vibhushan awardee Dr Umayalpuram K Sivaraman. Adamya has been a stage performer for 20+ years now, having performed in various parts of India. He has also taken up teaching the art of Mridangam playing in the recent years
