What a ride. Running is one hell of a way to experience your surroundings and yourself. First month this year I've ran over 200km and in the last 12 months over 1200km. It hasn't been easy, but somewhere it's serving a deeper purpose. Much love y'all, the trail ain't over.
Another great start of the week. 21k has kinda become my "short" run 😅 But, as you can see, I'm taking it slow and steady. Yet I believe I should running even slower for now. But it's so hard!!! Specially today, we had below 10° Celsius in the morning and running slow simply doesn't allow me to break a sweat. It's all good, but I can't risk the grind. I'll see how it goes on Thursday. My goal is to run faster on a low heart rate. The adaptation will come and shedding some weight will also do its magic. Have a good one dear people!
Awesome test run for the 25k today. I've been running lately half-Marathons below 130bpm just to get used to slow pacing. Today I actually tried the heart rate I aim to use for the 100 miles run. It's based on a formula created by Phil Maffetone. Mine is 143bpm. This is what I should aim for to be my highest heart rate while running. It's easier said than done 😅 Still feel slow, but that also means there's room for improvement 👍🏽 - The awesome thing about running like this is that it feels extremely sustainable, I could've never pictured myself running 3 half-Marathons per week at my normal pace. You live, you learn.
I had the most amazing time talking to Aldo from @cruzadesofmotivation - This was episode number 2 of my podcast "NEW BEGINNINGS". Get to know a little bit more about us and how we approach the grind. We went pretty deep into different topics about life, fatherhood, fitness, art, etc. Make sure to tune in 👍🏽💯🫡

I grew up recording hip-hop songs with a tape recorder off a weekly show coming from a US Military radio station in Guatemala. I loved it and it felt like a gift to be able to hear these songs. Now I'm glad this community has the @parradox83 hip hop show delivering awesome throwbacks every week with the show. The man's in the grind, the Dox breaks blocks on the daily. This week I even got to hear myself rhyming on the show during the intro. What an honour! I don't spit, I hock loogies. 😎 Make sure to follow and listen to the show if you love yourself some good ass beats. In the words of the Parradox : Yettiiiii folks!
