Key to organ music

Key to organ music is dedicated to the extensive stylistic versatility and compelling expressiveness of the organist Cor van Wageningen.

Cor van Wageningen studied the organ at the (now) ARTez Conservatory Arnhem -The Netherlands- with Prof Johan van Dommele. Already during his second bachelor year he obtained an appointment to teach several subjects at this institute. He held this chair for many years.
He won first prize during the International organ contest "Orgeldagen Rijnstreek" of which the jury members were ancient music experts like Ton Koopman and Harald Vogel.
Cor recorded ancient organ music, Sweelinck, Buxtehude Scheidemann, Bach i.e. on important Dutch and German baroque organs.
Later on he earned an additional reputation in performing German romantic music, especially that of Max Reger. He recorded for example five cd's of Regers music - mainly on the Sauer organ of the Berlin Dom. Recital tours brought him to important organs in many countries.
