I like to think of myself as a passionate cook and keeper of trusted recipes — the kind that are simple, delicious, and worth making again and again.
The recipes I share come from everywhere: old cookbooks, favourites from my café days, dishes passed down by others, meals customers loved at work — and some I’ve created myself over the years. I don’t believe in changing a great recipe just for the sake of it — if it’s already good, I’ll share it as it is and always credit where it came from.
I started this channel — and my website leescooking.com — as a way of preserving my personal collection of recipes. In a way, it’s like building my own cookbook, and I'm honoured to share it with you.
Whether you’re just starting out or have been cooking for years, I hope you find something here that inspires you — and maybe even becomes a favourite at your table too.
Thank you so much for being here.
Warmly,
Lee

🎄 This Australian Pavlova comes from the Country Women’s Association, and it’s a recipe I’ve made literally hundreds of times. It’s the easiest pavlova I know and still the most delicious — with a beautiful marshmallow-to-crust ratio every time. 💛✨
The pavlova will crack (that’s completely normal), but topped with generous whipped cream and fresh fruit, it looks so good. Simple, delicious, and budget-friendly — perfect for Christmas.

A lovely friend shared this poem with me recently — it was the first time I’d ever read it.
You may know it already; I think it’s beautiful and wanted to share it with you too. 💛

Hey everyone, I hope you’re doing well!
We had a planned power outage for most of last weekend, so I couldn’t rely on the stove or oven — the perfect excuse to make this Healthy Caramel Slice! 🍯
My daughter shared the recipe with me a while back, and she loves it so much she even made it as dessert last Christmas. It’s a healthier one, but it honestly tastes really good — and if you’ve got anyone on plant-based or lighter diets visiting over summer (or the festive season), this one’s a beauty to have tucked away in the freezer.
I’ve got some lovely new meals coming your way over the next few weeks. Thanks so much for all your support — I really do appreciate it. ❤️

I came across this today — such a lovely reminder to show a little kindness 💛
They asked:
“Why is it important to be kind?”
I said:
“Because we walk past hundreds of people every day, and none of them wear signs that say, ‘I’m grieving,’ ‘I’m exhausted,’ or ‘I’m barely holding it together.’
But they’re everywhere.
Kindness might be the only softness they receive today.”

It’s Father’s Day here in Australia & New Zealand today! 💙
Wishing all the wonderful dads, stepdads, granddads, and father figures a beautiful day filled with love and happy moments. 💛
I can’t be with my dad today, but he’s in my thoughts — and for those whose dads have sadly passed, I hope you find a little comfort in the happy memories and the love that lasts forever. 🕊️
Sending love to everyone marking the day in their own special way. 💐
