Sorry it’s taken so long 😅😅

All deaths are chosen by a wheel

Hunger Games Day 5:

The Careers gathered in what used to be a furniture store — couches overturned, mannequins broken. Ruby sat on a countertop, braiding her dirty-blonde hair back tight, the gold threads catching sunlight. Mockingjay leaned against a pillar, cleaning blood off her spear. No one spoke until Athena finally said, “It’s time.”

Ruby glanced up. “For what?”

“For Ali.” That shut everyone up. Ali’s name hadn’t been said out loud since her cannon — not because they’d forgotten, but because it hurt too much to admit she wasn’t coming back.

River’s voice broke the silence. “There’s a group near the west hall. I saw Emily there last night. She’s with… someone from Eight, I think. We end it today.”

Ruby nodded slowly. “Then we finish what she started.”

The halls of the mall echoed with footsteps, faint but quick — Emily and Star. They’d found an old pet store and were digging through the debris for water bottles when they heard the sound.

“Run,” Emily whispered. But it was too late.

Athena’s spear sliced through the glass in front of them, embedding into the wall an inch from Star’s head. The girls scattered. Star ducked behind a display shelf, trembling as Emily armed herself with her blade. Athena stepped into view, tall and furious, eyes wild.

“You killed Ali,” Athena said flatly.

Emily froze. “She attacked me.”

“She was kind,” Athena snapped. “And you threw it away.”

Emily’s voice trembled, but her grip didn’t. “No one’s kind here anymore.”

They clashed in an instant — spear versus knife, strength versus speed. The floor slicked with water as they moved, glass crunching underfoot. Emily fought hard, but Athena’s rage was feral, every strike sharper than the last. Then Athena drove her spear forward. Emily gasped — a quiet, sharp sound — and stumbled back, the point through her chest. For a moment, Athena looked almost shocked by her own strength. Then the cannon fired.

BOOM.

But the sound wasn’t alone.

Another voice screamed — River’s. “Athena, look out!”

A blur — Nayalyn’s arrow sliced through the air, hitting Athena square in the side of her neck. She staggered, dropped her spear, eyes wide with disbelief. She collapsed beside Emily’s body, both girls lying inches apart.

BOOM.

Two cannons.

Mockingjay swore under her breath, dragging River back before the rest of the Careers could be seen. Ruby’s eyes flickered gold under the dim lights. “Two less threats,” she muttered. But her voice was quieter now — like she wasn’t sure she believed it.

Far away, in a broken toy store, Star sat alone. She’d escaped the chaos, but she couldn’t stop shaking. Her hands were cut from broken glass; her clothes smelled like dust and fear.

She found a stuffed bear on the floor — missing an eye, but still soft. She hugged it to her chest and whispered, “I made it, right?”

The lights flickered. Something moved behind her.

A shadow slithered between the aisles — mechanical, silent. The hum of gears. A muttation.

Star turned, her breath catching.

It wasn’t an animal — it was a mall security robot, half-rusted but still active, its red sensor light glowing bright in the dark.

“Hello,” it chirped in a distorted voice. “Please evacuate.”

Star didn’t move.

It repeated, “Please evacuate.”

Then, without warning, it charged.

Her scream echoed down the hall — short, sharp, cut off too soon.

BOOM.

Hunger Games Day 4:

Near the food court, Sarah and Emily had cornered a Career supply pile. They’d watched from the shadows for hours, waiting for their moment. Sarah, ever the planner, pointed to the left entrance. “You grab the bags, I’ll cover you. We run if they spot us. Got it?”

Emily nodded. “Got it.”

They moved fast — too fast. Ruby saw them first. “Thieves!” she shouted, spear raised. Chaos erupted. Hazel fired an arrow that missed by inches. Sarah threw her spear, grazing Hazel’s shoulder. Emily grabbed a backpack and dove behind a fountain.

Sarah ran forward, blocking Ruby’s strike with a metal tray. The sound clanged through the atrium. “You don’t scare me,” she spat. “You’re just kids with fancy toys!” Ruby snarled and went for another hit, but then Ali saw it.
The way Sarah’s spear tip gleamed, perfectly aimed for Ruby’s heart. Without thinking, Ali shoved Ruby aside. The spear buried itself in her chest.

Ruby turned, eyes wide. “Ali—?”

Ali gasped, blood soaking her shirt. “I told you… I’d always… have your back.”

Her legs buckled. Ruby caught her before she hit the floor. BOOM. The cannon fired before Ruby could even scream. Across the courtyard, Sarah froze — her own weapon still raised. She hadn’t meant to— But Hazel’s arrow found her. BOOM.

Emily screamed as her best friend’s body hit the floor. She ran to her, shaking, but Sarah was gone — just another face for the sky tonight. Ruby stood there in shock, staring down at Ali’s lifeless form. All the insults, the mocking laughter, the times she brushed off Ali’s kindness — it all crashed into her at once. Ali hadn’t been pretending. She’d actually cared. Ruby’s hands trembled as she brushed the hair from Ali’s face. “You idiot,” she whispered, voice cracking. “You were never supposed to save me.” Hazel rested a hand on Ruby’s shoulder, but Ruby didn’t move. The fire in her eyes had gone cold. River, watching from the side, felt something twist in her chest. This was what kindness got you in this arena, dead.

Meanwhile with Madi and Kaylee, they were hungry, so hungry. They hadn’t seen food since the bloodbath and every time they saw food since then, it was poisonous. They couldn’t go to the food court, not near the careers. They were on high alert when they heard a noise, definitely not human. Maybe, slithering? That’s when they saw it….. a cord? No not a cord. A snake.

The Kaylee immediately attacked. Madi stood there holding her head and…..crying. That’s weird, Madi never cries. The snake moved so fast that Kaylee couldn’t catch it when it bit Madi. BOOM. All of a sudden, Kaylee’s memories flooded her brain.

Flashback: Kaylee watched as Madi did her interview, she looked like she was struggling to get the crowd’s attention. Once Madi left the stage she was taken away by a gamemaker and when she came back she seemed…..different. Kaylee tried to talk to her but Madi just smiled and stared at the distance. Kaylee grabbed her hand and ran in the direction of the game maker. “What did you do to her!” She screamed.

“I’m helping her,” the game maker replied, “the crowd didn’t like your ‘opposite twins’ thing you’ve got going on, so I fixed her!”

“Fixed her?!” Kaylee yelled, “you turned her into a mutt! Look at her!” Madi was standing, smiling, and staring out the window.

“We got a code yellow” and all of a sudden Kaylee was injected with something, and everything went black…
:End of flashback

Kaylee hugged Madi one last time and watched the “mall vine” slither away and later heard a girl scream…

Hunger games day 3:

All deaths are chosen by a wheel

The morning light filtered through the cracked glass ceiling of the mall, scattering across the dusty tiles. The arena was quiet, almost too quiet — the kind of silence that made your own heartbeat sound like thunder. The Career alliance had settled in the food court: Ruby sharpening her spear, Ali sorting weapons, Hazel on lookout, Mockingjay and Athena whispering by the barricade of overturned tables. River sat apart from them, cleaning her bow, lost in thought. She wasn’t like them. Not really. But for now, she stayed. When Hazel spotted movement near the edge of the lower level, Ruby called for a hunt. “Hazel, River, come with me,” she ordered. They moved quietly through the hallways lined with broken storefronts until they spotted Elowyn. She was crouched by a cracked mirror, filling a bottle from a leaking water pipe.

River froze. “Elowyn…” she whispered.

Elowyn turned, startled — and her expression crumbled when she saw who was behind her. “River?” Her voice cracked. “You’re with them?”

River lowered her sword a little. “It’s not what it looks like.”

Hazel snorted. “Sure it isn’t.” She nocked an arrow, aiming straight at Elowyn’s chest.

“Wait!” River stepped forward. “She’s not a threat.”

“She’s another tribute,” Ruby said flatly as she came up behind them. “That’s all the reason we need.”

Elowyn backed away, daggers trembling in her hands. “River, please—”

“Hazel, now,” Ruby ordered.

The arrow flew before River could move. It hit Elowyn just below the ribs, and she staggered, choking on her breath. Her eyes widened, then found River’s one last time — sad, almost betrayed — before she collapsed. BOOM.

The cannon echoed through the mall.

River’s fists clenched. “She wasn’t armed,” she muttered.

Ruby turned toward her slowly, a smirk tugging at her lips. “You sound upset.”

“She didn’t even fight back,” River said, her voice shaking.

Ruby stepped closer, eyes cold. “You wanna end up like your friend?”

River’s mouth opened — then closed. She said nothing. Just stared at the floor, her jaw tight.

“Didn’t think so,” Ruby said, turning away. “Let’s move. There’s still plenty left to kill.”

River didn’t follow right away. She looked at Elowyn’s body, swallowed hard, then whispered under her breath, “I’m sorry.”

On the other side of the mall. Kiwi and Ollie were still in shock about Etta. Ollie still couldn’t believe what happened, it all happened so fast, yet he was still responsible. Etta went for a drink at a water fountain they found and was gone for a while when they heard a boom they assumed was Etta (It was Nova). So when they heard someone running at him and Kiwi, Ollie grabbed a shard of glass from the shop they were in, and threw it at the enemy, only to hear a scream, Etta’s scream. “It wasn’t your fault” Kiwi said, as if she could read his mind.

“But it is—“ he was cut off by someone, or something…

All of a sudden mannequin jumped up from its spot and attacked Kiwi. This was his chance. The chance to redeem himself. Ollie ran at the mannequin with his knife, ripped it off her, and helped her up.

“Ollie look out!” Kiwi screamed. Ollie had just enough time to look behind him before another swarm of mannequins jumped on him.

“RUN!” He screamed….

BOOM.
