Jay Sweet is a bassist, educator, author, and researcher known for his extensive contributions to the music industry. His diverse career includes performances and recordings with notable artists such as Ted Curson, Norman Simmons, and Ed Jurdi.

As a contributing editor of Jersey Jazz Magazine, he keeps a pulse on the history and latest developments in the jazz scene, interviewing legends such as George Benson, Ron Carter, Stanley Clarke, and Joshua Redman.

He is also the host of 30 Albums for 30 Years, a music history podcast that chronologically showcases each year's 30 most impactful albums from 1964 to 1994, eventually covering 900 albums!

His newest podcast, The Jazz Real Book, helps guide you through the tunes included in Hal Leonard's Jazz Real Book and discusses essential details associated with the songs, the musicians who created the material, and the recordings that inspire jazz musicians and fans worldwide.
