PolyU School of Fashion and Textiles

The School of Fashion and Textiles (SFT) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has been a pioneer of fashion education and research for Hong Kong since 1957, when the Department of Textile Industries was established under the predecessor of PolyU, Hong Kong Technical College; and was renamed as the Institute of Textiles and Clothing in 1977. In recognition of the Institute's growing reputation as a world-class fashion school, it became an independent School of Fashion and Textiles in 2022.
