Mem Ararat was born in 1981 in a village of Derik District of Mardin. He shared his first studio album titled “Quling Ewr û Baran” (Crane Bird, Clouds and Rain) in 2013 and started his professional musical adventure with this album. In the following years, Mem Ararat, who shared his album works titled "Kurdîka", "Xewna Bajarekî" (A City's Dream), "Niştiman" (Homeland) and "Pesna Evînê" (Praise of Love) with his audience, started to be followed with great interest. Performing his music with modern touches, Ararat also drew attention with the songs he wrote and composed himself. He gave many concerts at home and abroad. Despite his young age, he took his place among the most listened and best known Kurdish musicians.
