I'm a native American guy (of the Navajo tribe) who loves the 1980s euro punk scene. I didn't see my first punk/hardcore show until 1989 in Homburg/Saar, Germany at the AJZ Homburg. There were 2 bands. One was HALLE 54, and the other slips my mind. My first day visiting AJZ Homburg (biked in from Zweibrücken. 1989), I met a guy in the basement of the building (an American...believe it or not) ..shaved head, short and shooting billiards. Initially, I thought he was a skinhead, but luckily...no. After talking for a little, it turned out he was LEE HOLLIS of the SPERMBIRDS! WOW! I went to some of his shows and they were wild...very popular among the German punks.
