Since 2006 CELEBRATE DANCE has been a platform for all of the companies participating in the festival presented by Executive Producer Jamie Nichols. CELEBRATE DANCE enjoyed sold out shows at the historic art deco Alex Theatre. The event gained new momentum each year with 70 dance companies, over 12,000 attendees and critical acclaim. CELEBRATE DANCE 2015 was an outstanding year celebrating 10 years of diversity, education programs and brilliant performances.
Ms. Nichols has been awarded the Lester Horton Dance Award for Outstanding Achievement for Production of a Festival for CELEBRATE DANCE 2006, 2007,2008 and was honored with the Dance Resource Center's "Furthering the Visibility of Dance Award" at the 19th Annual Lester Horton Dance Awards. Multiple awards have been garnered by participants in the concerts.
