A place for all of my (Stan Rose, aka Alien Guitar Abduction) music!
About me: I have been playing guitar for over 40 years. I was largely self taught at first but then took lessons from a student of jazz legend Pat Martino in my teens, then Dream Theatre's John Petrucci in my 20s. I have been influenced by countless guitarists through the years but two of my biggest influences were Shawn Lane and Danny Gatton. Alien Guitar Abduction is my musical creation that blends all the many influences and styles, ranging from classical to metal to electronic. The only common theme is it is all psychedelic. I have worked with countless online session musicians but my go-to collaborators have been Cris Hodges and Chris Zurich as vocalists, and John O'Reilly Jr and Mike Kosacek on drums. I've had some great guest appearances on some songs, including legendary drummer Jason Bittner, and keyboardist John 'Rabbit' Bundrick (the Who, Bob Marley).
