Lesley Riddoch is a podcaster, journalist, author, filmmaker, cyclist, land reform campaigner & lover of all things Nordic.
She grew up in Belfast, moved to Glasgow at 13, then Oxford & Cardiff Universities and Strathclyde University for a PhD.
Lesley was a BBC presenter for 25 years on BBC2, Channel 4, Radio 4 and Radio Scotland winning 2 Sony awards. She edited the Scotswoman on International Women’s Day 1995, and writes columns for the National.
Lesley was on the trust that helped Eigg island buyout in 1997 and founded the Africawoman journalism training charity in 1999. In 2020 she won the Saltire Society Fletcher of Saltoun Award for contribution to public life.
Lesley has co-presented a weekly Lesley Riddoch Podcast (see Youtube channel) for 17 years. She has written five books, co-produced/presented many films.
