This is a PUBLIC SERVICE announcement: It’s on YOU to encourage the next generation to “chop wood and carry water”.
When hope is all but lost because of AI, the economy, instant gratification apps, and all the other fun stuff billionaires are doing to mess with our future…
…YOU must teach the kids that discipline is cool; martial arts gives you the ability to explore and improve your mind and body. The body is your instrument, and your style is the music.
What will you create together?
Offer help by being their training partner. Give them study material. And remind them that it’s most important to stick with it, especially when they don’t want to.
A gentle nudge.
I almost quit martial arts when I was 12? But my dad didn’t let me.
And I thank him every day for that.

Remember back in 2011 when the YouTube legend, Kwonkicker, won his Muay Thai debut in Thailand with a turning back kick to the liver in the very first round? He was gracious enough to show me a drill he used to “warm up his accuracy”, saying that’s literally all he did in the locker room before this match.
Micah was pivotal in helping me develop my 10-week IKS striking curriculum that my team and I have been implementing over the years.
Registration for our next round is now open — we start Sept 7 on MAGNVS: magnvs.io/pages/daily-kickboxing-program?via=fight…
Join now if you want to start earning rank under our IKS system.

POV: you have your first Muay Thai match coming up. Everybody always daydreams of landing sick combos on the outside, maybe setting up the question mark kick with some teeps, and finishing their opponent with some clean boxing and a Haggerty-type tomahawk elbow for a sensational KO.
The truth is: you’re inevitably going to end up in the clinch — a lot. Beginners tend to only go forward, and it’s a recipe for a messy clinch war. And most people get tired there. Either because they rely on strength (instead of leverage), or because they eat a bunch of knees to the body.
Unless you’re the better knee-fighter; most amateur Muay Thai fights are won (and lost) in the clinch. Featured is a clip of our athlete Mike Monte who had his first match last weekend in the 2026 WKA Nationals. Check out that clean knee in the clinch.
If you’d like to learn more about how to dominate at close range, come to my seminar next week in NYC: www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/5773ZXXCZW8T6
All experience levels encouraged to join, even if you never intend on competing!
Learn the clinch strategies that most people overlook, and at a minimum, you won’t “change the channel” the next time you’re watching a “boring” clinch war 😂

Who remembers when phones didn’t have cameras? In tonight’s video, we revert back to 2006 and 480p, where I filmed Beacon MMA’s last fight team training before a big MMA/MuayThai tournament (WKA) on a Sony Cybershot. Sparring, conditioning, padwork, and more. Some of you are going to love this video, and some of you are going to be extremely confused 😅
