The transparent world and selfless state are not separate abilities

So someone on dc brought this up to me, and it lwk makes sense. When Tanjiro describes dodging Akaza’s punch he notes that he was focused on nothing but dodging; this would inherently mean emotion is also second.

Furthermore, Akaza mentions a certain look in Tanjiro’s eyes when he describes the ability—the same thing Koku does with both Muichiro and Gyomei. Even Obanai mentions it as an ocular thing.

I discussed it with a friend on dc and we came to two separate interpretations:
1. If you get the transparent world you automatically enter the selfless state
2. It’s a scale; the deeper you go into the transparent world the closer you get to the selfless state. STW —> SS (like the final stage)

Either is valid but I’m leaning towards the former

Anyway, point remains. They’re not separate (shoutout to @zephyx5514 and ‪@assassin_5656‬)

Koku makes a point of saying Sanemi shouldn’t be fighting at the same speed as before with the injuries he sustained, never mind become even faster.

**He is aware Sanemi has the mark**

This implies that any other would perform below their base self even with an amp like the mark.

Obanai’s smaller, suffered the most from Muzan’s poison, and narratively doesn’t have monstrous endurance like Sanemi.
