You can ignore the pain. Endure it. Pop some pills.

If you have spinal issues — you MUST take action.
📍 Disc protrusions
📍 Herniated discs
📍 Scoliosis or kyphosis

Today, we’re talking about spinal health.
So tell me—how’s your back feeling?
If you experience back pain—whether occasionally or constantly—it’s time to turn to yoga.
But if you have specific health conditions or past injuries, focus on Yoga Therapy rather than general Hatha, Ashtanga, or Vinyasa classes.
Those styles can come later, after the pain is gone.
🧘♀️YOGA THERAPY FOR THE SPINE: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
🔹 1. A HEALTHY SPINE ISN’T FLEXIBLE — IT’S STABLE
Back pain is usually not caused by “tightness,” but by instability and overload.
The goal of yoga therapy isn’t to stretch but to restore balance:
Strengthen the deep stabilizing muscles
Mobilize the thoracic and pelvic regions gently
Unload the lower back
🔹 2. MAIN CAUSES OF CHRONIC BACK PAIN:
Sedentary lifestyle (discs lose nourishment)
Weak core muscles
Chronic tension from stress
Improper, shallow breathing
Imbalance between left and right body sides
Hypermobility without support (common in yogis!)
🔹 3. WHAT TO DO:
✅ Learn to align your spine in neutral — avoid excessive rounding or arching
✅ Work on posture — especially important for people who sit a lot or drive often
✅ Practice diaphragmatic breathing — it massages your organs and supports the lumbar spine
✅ Strengthen glutes and core — these are the main support for the lower back
✅ Include daily micro-movements — 10 minutes a day is more effective than one long session once a week
✅ Calm the nervous system — the body won’t release tension if the mind is stressed
✅ Sleep well and stay hydrated — intervertebral discs are 80% water!
🔹 4. WHAT NOT TO DO:
🚫 Forcing yourself into deep forward bends
🚫 Twisting aggressively — especially in the lower back
🚫 Holding poses through pain or discomfort
🚫 Ignoring pain in the glutes — this could be sciatic nerve compression
🚫 Sitting for long periods without moving
🚫 Arching the lower back without engaging your core and legs
🚫 Treating symptoms without understanding the root cause
🔹 5. MODERN YOGA THERAPY:
✨ Yoga therapy isn’t about stretching — it’s about restoring the balance between mobility, stability, breath, and nervous system function
✨ The healing comes not from how “deep” you go into a pose, but from alignment and awareness
✨ The key is consistency and gentleness
✨ Back therapy always includes: feet, pelvis, breath, and emotions

Each chakra is connected to different aspects of life: from survival and pleasure to love, self-expression, and intuition.

…and suddenly remember who you are.
You can practice anywhere — on a balcony, in an office, on the kitchen floor in nothing but socks.
Sometimes the mat is just a cute accessory.
What matters is your awareness.
And the body that gently whispers, “Hey… be with me. Just for a bit.”
Yoga therapy isn’t about stretching — it’s an intimate conversation with yourself.
You don’t force — you invite.
You don’t push — you listen.
You don’t escape the pain — you get to know it.
And I’ll admit — in child’s pose, I feel like the sexiest creature in the universe.
No audience needed.
