I must've touched a nerve! 6.9% dislike ratio for this video! Much higher than my usual. I wonder who's having a problem with it? Teachers who are doing the best they can? Teachers who think what they're doing is working? Or maybe just people who wish I talked faster. I dunno! 🤷🏻♂️ (Update: it's only 5% now) (Later: Now it's only 4%. I overreacted)

Y'all get ready. I'm gonna dump my whole Music Essentials course up on the YouTubes. There are excerpts up now that have done pretty well, so I've decided to go ahead and remove all barriers to entry so everyone can easily watch the whole course. It's a comprehensive course on Audiation, Piano Technique, Reading Music, and Music Theory. Just checking--y'all know my content is intended for all levels of musicians, right? Specifically the videos on Audiation and Technique. Sometimes I get the impression that beginners realize I'm speaking to them, which is absolutely true. It's also true that the Audiation skills and Piano Technique skills I discuss are what have allowed me to play some of the most difficult piano repertoire. Intermediate and advanced pianists absolutely need to know this stuff and it's not usually taught. Just sayin'!

Piano lessons collapse under their own weight unless you know how to manage your learning. Case in point: would you be more successful processing 8 things or 418 in order to play a piece of music? If you tried learning piano and it didn't work out, it's probably not your fault...
